Back From Cambodia
Hi, I am back from Cambodia. It was a meaningful and educational trip. Here are some pictures that depict the life in Cambodia. After this trip, I think I will treasure what I have even more and learn not to take things for granted. We are really fortunate as compared to them.
Happy viewing! ;)

In a country which is still reeling from decades of war, destruction, turmoil and genocide, artist Stephane “Stef” Delapree is doing something very different. He paints pictures of happy people in Cambodia. Stef is a happy guy who paints happy pictures. He paints pictures of happy monks, happy mothers hanging out in hammocks, happy women drying laundry, happy people driving motorcycles, happy guys with bags of rice on bicycles etc. The list goes on. The important thing is, they are all happy. His work shows the joy of life and he calls it “jollity in painting”. You cannot help but feel good when you look at his work. It is a unique and positive style that seems to please many people.
Stef is entirely untutored. He is “discovered” by Anne-Sylvie Charest, an art history student from Québec, who believes in his talent and “pushed” him to produce a series of paintings on one theme, Cambodia.

Damn! I WANNA GO TO CAMBODIA !!!!!
Is the weather same as Singapore? The teddy is it they give? Why they let you go inside the school?
Hi Alethea, did you have an enjoyable holiday?
The weather in Cambodia is the same as Singapore, warm and humid.
The Teddy Bear is our Bodhian Bear. The Bodhian Bear travels to different countries so that it can return to school to tell you about its adventures! Well, hopefully, the teachers would have time to compile the bear's adventures into slides.
We visited two schools, the "Floating" school and the village school. We asked our tour guide to take us to these two schools. These schools are sponsored by Japanese, Koreans and Singaporeans. Two of the buildings in the village school are built and sponsored by Manjusri Secondary School and Pasir Ris Crest Secondary School. They were the secondary school students' CIP projects. I think they have done a great job! Don't you think so?
MBS has also been collecting stationery and school bags for the children in Cambodia these few years. Our pupils also painted hundreds of T-shirts for them. We are the fortunate people, hence, we must share what we have with the less fortunate.
See you in school soon! :)

Well Alethea, the bear is not a robot. Find out more about it from your Social Studies teacher. :)

Hi Nathan, Angkor Wat means Temple City and Angkor Thom means Big City. :)
